Plan of Salvation
God loves you.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Everyone is a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
Sin has a price that must be paid.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Jesus Christ died to pay for your sin.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
Repentance is a crucial aspect of salvation, involving a turning away from sin and a turning toward God.
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord". (Acts 3:19)
Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8 and 9)
Believe and confess your faith in Christ.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
Take God at His Word.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
